Six Christmas shoppers were feared dead Monday and many more seriously injured when an out-of-control bin lorry careered into crowds in the heart of Glasgow.
Bodies were strewn along the pavement for at least 200 yards from the first impact before the lorry smashed into a hotel.
Eye-witnesses said the driver appeared to suffer a heart attack or seizure of some kind at the wheel of the truck as he weaved through George Square.
The vehicle shot through traffic lights and veered off the road onto a crowded pavement, sending shoppers "up in the air" before smashing into the Millennium Hotel.
